A LIVING BIOGRAPHY; A BRIEF PROFILE - The essence exuding from JV Harvey's ArtWork is filled with forces of inspiration that elicit responses and/or reactions according to the maturity, concepts and contents of the viewers own psychological capacity, seeking an ability to transcend all cycles of illusion that cling to any ideas regarding permanence. Born in the midst of the Solar Eclipse of July 1945 and the advent of the Atomic Bombardment of Energy, the artist's life path is proving to be his greatest work of living art which expresses the powerful depths of transforming energy bursting into the aquarian age, beyond the boundaries and the ashes of the soon to be bygone eratic civilization, and into the the new millennium's unknown dimensions.
The introduction to the art medium of painting by mentor and artist, William F. Buchanan in Pittsburgh PA, in 1964, apparently infused the artist with a burning intensity and thirst to explore, experience and express the freedom found inherent in life. Also the incredible inspiration, support and encouragement from the renown artist and friend, William McCauley, in Pittsfield Massachusetts in the early '70's, spurred this talent to greater heights of non-conformative artistic and self-realization, conscious awareness and creative challenges to remain natural. The inquisitive processes implimented within JV Harvey's "The Evolutionary Expression of Life Energy" has always evoked relative images of the primitive, ancient tribal cultures, and of civilizations, worlds and universes, which out of his vision are magically melded together as echoes through the corridors of the spontaneous moment which channels bold, aggressive and colorful images that call out in freedom. Life's sojourn has always found JV Harvey's free spirit leading him to be surrounded by incredibly authentic and wonderfully expressive artists from all walks of life to share their visions while bringing forth his own style. He has studied, trained and traveled great distances to consistently return home with an abundance of insight, knowledge and inspiration to share with those who are courageous to be their unique spiritual being as all great masters convey. The orginal state of art by any artists isn't prefabricated. It is discovered through unchartered territory and then replicated until another transcends its boundaries as an acceptable genisis.
Through the earlier experiences of many career paths that have cultivated, played and developed his undefinable character, as well as, through the various stages of his life's trials and tribulations, - from leaving the farm in Pennsylvania as one of 12 children, going to college for a brief stint, dancing in many musical theatre productions in the late 60/s and early 70's, to homelessness, sleeping on the beach, gaining luxury high rise living, and losing all possessions and material obsession, with several entrepreneurial ventures including being CEO of 5 computer related companies during the 80's, - a profound detachment from the physical plane's grasp for permanence brings forth edgy paintings from the soul precepts that are conceptionally presented through the evolutionary expression of his life energy, as reflected in his virtual website gallery:

In intimate art circles around the globe Mr. Harvey is known for his combination of quiet sensitivity and dynamic force of intensity. Through many private showings, his work has captured the interest of a cross section of unconventional society: the mavrick entourage for radical and expansive changes including filmmakers, actors, advertising executives and recording artists, to political figures, vineyard owners and field hands alike, and has found its way into 'energy centers' in homes of private collectors and alternative healing institutions both here and abroad. Upon including many a successful art exhibition at his previous South Street Art Exhibition Gallery, New York City, the artist followed up with shows at the now defunct Artist's Museum in Washington DC, and at the Inshalah Gallery in Downtown Los Angeles, California. Since having moved to Los Angeles in 1998, he continues working in private preparation for International and National Art Exhibitions in addition to his continued electronic publications of Poetry/ArtWorks.
Mr. Harvey's Art Studio Gallery in the South of France, 'Le Petit Paradis', which served as a creative base for "The Evolutionary Expression of Life Energy" has thrust him into a extensive project to complete masterful works of poetry interrelated with his ArtWorks, and execute new plans with CCPI for a 'Creative Art Gallery Center' designed to bring a greater non-conventional arena of 'ArtWorks' for the success and upliftment of Humanity. The soul purpose of this vision is dedicated in support of patrons, collectors, connoisseurs and appreciators of art, in combination with financiers, gallery proprietors, etc., as we, Human Beings create from the unknown dimensions of the known reality.
