Q: In retrospective of your multifaceted sojourn what are some of your observations, thoughts, lessons and insights that manifested during the unfoldment of "BEGIN YOUR PSYCHIC JOURNEY", you would like to share with us today? A: Well, I didn't expect the need to release more of my ego in order to complete the book. Many unexpected arrogant thoughts and feelings surfaced after I submitted my manuscript to my editor and small review circle for their suggestions. I truly had to learn to listen to them and respect their input without thinking, "I know more than they do about the metaphysics; after all, I've been writing and teaching for years!" Even though my book is based on a multi-week class series I have taught since the late 1980's, converting my syllabus into a fully fleshed-out book was a harder challenge than first anticipated. What a wonderful lesson in humility and acceptance of assistance this project turned out to be! Q: Now that you have arrived at this particular juncture of your life's sojourn, how have the experiences and/or influences helped to shape, mold and develop new concepts, ideas and theories about the creative process in today’s world? A: The creative process in today's world carries with it a new type of responsibility. Since I live a fast-paced life like most of us in the Western world, juggling career with spiritual advancement and numerous interactions with children and other adults, I find that creative endeavors often need to touch one's soul almost instantaneously. People in the 21st century are used to sound bites, flashy visual imagery and shorter reading material. As I've worked with clients and students over the past few years, I've seen the need to fine-tune my creative, metaphysical material to be equally beneficial in a more condensed format. Luckily, by nature I'm a down-to-earth, not overly verbose writer! Q: What specific themes have you focused upon or seem to occur as silver threads within the fabric of universal patterns throughout your body of creative works? A: Throughout my book, metaphysical articles and scripts for spoken-word CDs, I primarily focus on three major themes: empowerment, self-worth, and activation of one’s own psychic gifts. I feel it is so important for spiritual seekers to stay authentic to their unique way of experiencing their life paths. It can be difficult to not compare oneself to other people, to think other folks are more successful, more intelligent, or more creative than we are. But believe me, even the most outward appearing “together” person experiences the same doubts and goes through similar emotional struggles on an ongoing basis. I should know, I’ve worked with a large cross-section of the general public! That is why I feel it is my responsibility through my writing to help people see how their creative souls are like crystals to be mined. We first have to unearth the magical crystal deep inside ourselves and then gently cultivate and nourish it, nudging our psychic talents to the surface. When we activate our own brand of intuitive powers, we truly honor our Higher Self and our spiritual and life paths become much more defined and attainable. A fourth theme I like to present in my written works is that everyone is on his or her personal timetable. It is very important to not rush oneself as you free up your creative and psychic gifts. I often like to remind my students that many metaphysically, spiritually oriented people are late bloomers and it’s perfectly okay to not know exactly how their paths will develop; rather, simply enjoying the process can be surprisingly enlightening. Q: What inspired you to take an interest in authorship, and who was the person(s) most instrumental and encouraging you to pursue the creative medium(s) you have chosen to reveal aspects of life's energy? A: Simply, I love playing with words in visual form and helping readers spiritually grow by offering them metaphysical theories and techniques to try on. My earliest inspiration for putting pen to paper came as a teenager growing up in Chicago, where my high school Journalism teacher unlocked the power of words. Mr. Reque was a former college professor who taught a two-year program in lieu of the standard English curriculum. His class was sometimes quite difficult, since he assigned us college-level homework and we were required to put in long hours as part of the school newspaper staff. But I also studied poetry and novels under Mr. Reque as well. So I gained a great deal of experience both interpreting and experimenting with various writing styles. In addition, I am deeply grateful to my second spiritual teacher, Rosie Danelle, whom I trained with in San Francisco. She always encouraged me to write in order to assist others on their spiritual paths and gave me great pointers on how to design effective class and lecture material. Also, she would tell me to be sure to include humor in my writing because it helps put the reader at ease and makes an author more human and relatable. But I have to admit that writing Begin Your Psychic Journey came out of a direct request from many of my students for a comprehensive, self-study reference guide on psychic development. Since the book is loosely based on an actual course, these students wanted to revisit some of the theories and techniques in order to become more intuitively proficient. Q: To what extent does the Human Culture(s) in which you live, impact and/or invoke you to express the depth of your soulful insights, thoughts and ideas with such an imagination that strikes the brilliant, buoyant, vigorous and dynamic chords producing creative work you've done and are doing? A: Because the current atmosphere of our Western society can be so chaotic, with an increasingly sophisticated technological base and myriad choices that often make us feel overwhelmed, fatigued, or inferior, I choose to create works that help to simplify our soul’s spiritual journey. To not rely so much on influences outside ourselves. After all, we already contain all the answers we seek--we need only to learn methodologies that will allow us to hear and acknowledge this information. Q: As a creative personification from the essence of life and a visionary, and pioneer in many ways for the consciousness of Humanity, how do you perceive that your vision(s) as a participant has expanded, impacted and/or assisted in the evolution of conscious awakening for the wholeness of Humanity? A: Due to the greater acceptance of spiritual and psychic experiences by a larger segment of the general public, over the past 8-10 years my vision has expanded accordingly. When I first entered the metaphysical field, I had to keep my spiritual side very private. I rarely discussed my rapidly blossoming psychic abilities and experiences with anyone who was not of like mind. It simply was neither comfortable nor healthy to receive negative or dismissive comments. But because the vibration of the Planet is now embracing an integration of the spiritual with the practical, I've been eager to help enlighten those additional people who are ready to free up their intuitive gifts. Many of the Planet's residents are realizing that creative spirituality is a necessary and healthy part of the Human Experience. Q: Like other creative personifications throughout the ages that have imparted observations of life's impressions upon the world of Humankind for generations to see, hear, learn, grow and develop intuitive insights about the Human existence/conditions, how would you handle on a larger scale than you've demonstrated and contributed as a Creative Being, a new direction for Human consciousness through the Arts? A: To help create a new direction and a new way to impact Human Consciousness through the Arts, I see myself moving in two directions. Of course, the art form I have the most expertise in is the Intuitive Arts, which encompasses the metaphysical field. First, I would love to help create and participate in events that reach a great number of people, particularly coordinating panels of interesting and thought provoking metaphysical thinkers. Such panels could feature practitioners practicing advanced forms of energy work that lead to widespread healing of both the physical and emotional bodies; experts in dream interpretation to help people understand and release harmful, destructive mindsets; and natural world integrationists who study interspecies communication (after all, there is so much we can learn from the animal kingdom), just to name a few. Listening to such panels would challenge people to move beyond their existing forms of being and provide an encouraging, safe environment to spiritually and metaphysically grow. Secondly, producing and hosting a different type of metaphysical radio show would also achieve my goal to impact a larger pool of kindred spirits, as well as educating people currently on the fence in embracing their psychic gifts and experiencing how their intuitive talents can elevate them to their true life paths. I was a DJ during my college years and greatly enjoyed facilitating discussions and interacting with the public. At the heart of my future goals lies the common thread to expand consciousness, which is the best way I know to create a more peaceful, unified Planet. Q: What methods, techniques do you use to connect with the symbolic motifs that seem to emerge as recurring themes within the Human World and compels the creative person(s) to forge ahead via artistic consciousness through the Arts? A: The overriding way that I stay connected to my creative spirit, thereby allowing me to forge ahead with current writing projects and partially hatched new brainstorms, is via moving my physical body through nature. I am a Taurus sun sign and the connection to my physical body is very important. Plus, I have mostly fire in the rest of my astrological chart, and so I need a wide variety of ways of playing in the outdoors to keep me inspired and rejuvenated. From hiking and biking, to horseback riding, swimming, and playing tennis, feeling my feet upon the Earth and/or the wind, sun and water on my skin gives me a feeling of spiritual freedom and connection to my creative soul. I often receive direct messages from my Higher Self when doing these activities that point me in the best direction for being assistive toward others through the written word. I've received new book chapter topics, CD titles, ideas for additional lecture venues, and potentially valuable networking contacts this way. I always marvel at how simple artistic inspiration can come when we're doing a seemingly unrelated activity. But of course, what I'm really doing is living my personal version of integrating Body, Mind and Spirit! Q: Who are the primary masters of your craft or creative medium you have or haven't worked with that you consider to have influenced your styles, approaches, intelligence and acute sensibility regarding the intricacies of creativity and what it means for Humanity? A: Actually, animals have had more of an influence on my creativity and overall approach to spirituality than other people in the metaphysical field. Of course, the two teachers I worked with early on in my career were instrumental in helping me to hone my ultimate style, but I have to credit the many profound interactions I’ve experienced with creatures as being primary creative catalytic forces. This began when I was just three years old, when I stood in the backyard of my childhood home and communicated with Monarch butterflies landing on me. I even named them “Aunt” this and “Uncle” that! I’ve also had a beautiful, soulful doe and two of her fawns ceremoniously circle me during a solo hike in the woods of Northern California, and I had the privilege of being blessed with an unusually psychic cat, a tortoise-shell named Mona, who once chose the same Tarot card as me during a New Year’s Eve ritual (she selected this card by walking over to the messy pile of face-down cards on the rug and tapping one with a delicate paw). All of these experiences, plus many others, taught me that creative spirituality can be more easily attained when we interact with the natural world, which of course includes Mother Nature and her creatures. Meditating in the forest, traversing a desert, relaxing on a beach or climbing a mountain while being aware of living things around you sends us messages to simplify our approach to life and reminds us to truly listen to our inner voice. Q: What is your most difficult challenge as a Human Being today? A: Censoring and reconditioning my inner critic, that negative, nay-saying voice that creeps in now and again to cause doubt in the validity of my creative process. Of course, this is a common challenge of the Human Experience, as so many of us are taught in childhood to not allow our creativity to flow uninterruptedly. I've found that the best ways to keep myself feeling positive and empowered toward my creative, metaphysical projects are three-fold: 1) I meditate regularly, just 10-15 minutes most days, where I focus on honoring my spirituality and accepting my chosen style of creating my life path; 2) I anoint myself with aromatherapy scents, such as lavender and rose, on my temples, chakra points and on my pillow, to help heal and soothe those parts of my past that hinder my spiritual path; and 3) I often work with programming crystals, where I place an intention about an important goal into that stone and then hold that crystal during meditation or when repeating affirmations about the desired outcome. All three of these methods allow me to stay focused and rejuvenated in order to continue to benefit myself, my students and my clients. Q: Understanding the unification of all living things, what distinguishes you within the circle of creative personifications throughout the annals of time today? A: I feel my optimistic, enthusiastic approach to unleashing our psychic gifts, and showing others that working our gifts allows our creativity to flourish, is a key characteristic that can be beneficial to most people. I’m very much a “cheerleader of the spirit” and gain a great deal of satisfaction helping others discover their personal spiritual blueprint. When we accept our unique way of being on this planet, through the application of our spiritual and creative talents we can then achieve integration of Body, Mind and Spirit. Q: What additional wisdom can you share with the up and coming generation of Human Beings in their process of achieving creative goals and artistic endeavors? A: I think it extremely important to seek out mentors when developing oneself as a creative being. Even though creativity is largely a private affair, more layers of our creative persona can become released when in the presence of a guiding, encouraging helper. A true mentor does not try to change one’s creative style and form of expression; rather, these heaven-sent delightful people recognize the beauty of individuality. Please do not be too proud to work with a mentor. Since we are constantly evolving, it makes taking risks to show more of your soul much more comfortable when you are bolstered by an ally on your path. Q: When reaching within the depths and beyond the boundaries of Human Behavior, what do you want the populous to ultimately experience and understand about creative endeavors on the whole? A: That creativity is a primal, human need and is directly tied to one's divine essence. When we create something ourselves, or enjoy a creative work produced by someone else, we move beyond our human vehicle (the body and mind) and access the song of our soul. All of us contain the creative spark and it is important to begin the journey to light it. Releasing and incorporating creativity into our lives allows us to spiritually progress along our chosen life paths. We 'Artists' comprehend and understand the dissolution of all things created as the temporal experiences of life's sojourn unfolds the reality of being a Human specie. When one basks in reflective glory of artificial intelligence and Human superficiality, the changing world of Humankind within this multilayered universal domain demands a mutation that constantly transforms all manner of obedience to any authority which destroys the joy of the Human spirit's freedom to truly be free beyond all illusory concepts of presumed freedoms!
The essential image in the mirror of mirrors is the eternal eye's inflective observation of the cosmic domain's resident earthlings wallowing in desperation and despair instead of rising higher and higher, above and beyond self induced pain and sufferings, holding onto the cloudy mind's security in fears and sorrows. It's all about me,you know, me, me, me, what is going to happen to me, well I don't care! Yes, you do! Who are you? - 'ME' - oh jee, look at ME! I don't want to know what other people (MEES) are doing, it's too confusing and upsetting, especially when I don't want to know what I am doing. That's mankind's greatest excuse for being involved in groups fighting for further 'MEES' to rule the world.
Yes, the 'Artists' clear, concise and dynamic communications must be advanced at all times. We must be to penetrate the awakened sleepers to awaken. The Human world think tank has masterfully devised the means and ways in order to keep every body ignorant of themselves through the misuse of words. Words, Words, Words and more Words...that are loaded with definition's ammunition to support duality's conflict and mayhem, even these very words have the potential to bring duality's fencing game to affront reasoning, rationale and logic's predominance as superior inferior conceptualizations; and that's okay as long as the 'Artist' within remains detached with lots of joy while traveling through these illusion's reality.
We Human Beings are a living organism within the clutches of infinite breaths moving in and out of visible and invisible realms creating causes and effects for the sake of experiences only. We are designed not to settle for less than we know we must have nor pursue more, more, more but to find the middle ground within Creation's omniscient dominion. In the attempts brought forth to describe the various aspects of our creative nature and/or collective consciousness as a miracle of life, one eventually learns that one doesn't need to try to become some body when one is automatically a part of everybody and everything in the first place. This is why one must see what everybody is doing and don't do it because when one doesn't transform, change, mutate, etc., one continues to keep doing what everybody is doing which is shown in the world today.
Life, itself, inspires myriad expressions preventing absolute terms or definitions to be truly possible and yet absolutely possibly true through the extraordinary craftsmanship of 'ArtWorks' on display around the globe. The word must reflect the generations of today. So we struggle, stumble, fret and search through information that affirms that we haven't any conclusions but to seek and find life is a continuous 'Work of Art' in progress by it's nature. The apparent states of perpetual confusion throughout it's universal system announces with every twist and turn in contemplation of mind, body and soul that we are a specialty, a species of chaos. It is a fact of existence that we cannot pinpoint the exactitude of the elemental or primary cause of our Being's Human origin, however we can accept that we are an integral part of the vast array of silent noises awakening. We affirm as 'Artists' the internal echoes externalizing through broken sound barriers vigorously shaking lose from any holding onto creation as a permanent, fixed and final reality. We are alive. There isn't any rest for the weary and universal nature is persistent. Life is eventfully restless in its sojourn.
Where are we? We are here! We are now. I don't know anything about anything, I am just creating, passing through that's all - its a wide open field of impermanence. Thereby, let everything and everybody be, 'AS IS' as, 'The Evolutionary Expressionism of Life Energy' unfolds its creative endeavors through manifesting 'ArtWorks'. The structural concepts of creative thinking are reflected in its wholeness in the vast images of 'All That IS' which reveals the 'I am' only responsible for that which 'I am' responsible for - to be, do and have that responsibility is enough! The moment 'I ' care about being responsible as 'I am', I have attached and expect to be acknowledged and/or rewarded for being responsible which is another way of saying yet denying that 'I am' in control. One must breathe and release this dualistic approach towards being ultimately irresponsible as 'I am' just looking around at the responsible world of Human inhabitants and knowing the truth is told. The truth sets one free and keeps one to oneself and leaves everybody alone. 'I am' always alone, AL - ONE!
When one looks around and sees the totality of Creation at play, we cannot imitate that which is one, nor pretend to 'Be' other than what one is not, when one is the original creation of 'I Am' in the imagination of that which 'I Am', one can't help but be what one is as 'I Am', as one IS! The 'Artists' infinite studies of movement within the field of mind, the black space as stated many times, demonstrates excessive states of perpetual confusion regarding the nature of life evolving and unfolding beyond all forms, shapes and sizes. Whatever we 'Artists' do must stem from life in its voyage to accelerate and abound consistently using time and space frameworks of the Human sagaciousness. Its not what others expect, its what we expect of others, who don't expect anything at all. We fail and succeed at the same time, no more, no less, its simply the best! We should not ask for another to do something that we would not want another to ask us to do! We 'Artists' can claim to be doing so much for another but the truth is that we are doing nothing for another but ourselves because the other is ourself. The perceptions extracted from visual, auditory and mental qualities of life energy are affirmative, immense and yet inconclusive. The constant release of attachment to all manifestations enables the exploration and self-discovery to increase beyond the capacity of inception or conception as well as solidify that we are a product in modality. We are, Human Beings, brilliant examples of light particles of this expanding field, energizing infusions of self as the unknown characteristics become revealed step by step.
Working to maintain the mediocrity of the Human world is shear drudgery. It is the full exposure of exposure which doesn't produce, create nor perpetuate secretiveness. THERE ARE NO SECRETS! The delusion that everybody is fighting for is called a better future, a cause that doesn't exist, and this cause prevents a better today, here and now as the trade off for this presumed future which never seems to manifest as a reality to be experienced. The acts of reality are illusory and temporal, therefore the thoughts of duality, singularity and partiality become obsolete in effect. When the artificial uses of intelligence are surpassed by its original essence as manifested within time and space, we discover we are the life force. The inevitable transformation processes of life's subjects and objects are the saving grace from the selfish limitations, restrictions and boundaries assumed for cultivation. The Human culture is transitory. It lasts but a nanosecond in concept then obliterates itself into the void consumed in timelessness space. We 'Artists' are the Human lessons learned and applied without interference. The totality of wisdom at play inspires knowledge and understanding of creation as consummation itself in order to recreate itself over and over time and again. The 'Artists' must fast from fear and all of its qualities of attachment as the heaven's wash and purge the earth with rains from the sky. Human habits are as easy to release as they are hard to keep. We have made things so difficult and ourselves so serious that 'Artists' suffers for lack of support. Everything is in balance, whether seen or not. The celestial seed begetting the seeds of life's spermatic cords assures life without question, doubt and/or fear to proceed accordingly. The Universe isn't a backup, clone and/or duplicate system in operation; therefore to wallow on the plane of suffering and misery or to transcend to the plane of ease and grace where freedom is natural, infinite, yes is a happening of consciousness.
So we 'Artists' cannot want to remove the beam from another's eye and not pluck the beam from our own eye. We are not an authority but an open channel during 'The Evolutionary Expressionism of Life Energy' therefore another may see the errors of their ways under universal direction, however, we must as one 'Artistic Eye' see that which every one sees without missing what every one cannot see to be seem through the radiance, 'ArtWorks'. The Creation's various species infused by the original essence as diversified formations into unique, authentic, articles of Beings which illuminate 'All That Is' within this field of cosmic energy is 'The light' shinning around the planet earth evolving in its universal heavens. This is home.
We 'Artists' of Human expressions have constantly managed to survive the conceptual ideas, theories and actions invoked by duality's trickery to test the strength of our capacity beyond mankind's quest for annihilation, armageddon, etc.; and the attempted destruction of nature's evolutionary processes which proved that the metaphor regarding the fox out trapping the fox is consistently leading the fox back to square one with its calculating efforts. Nothing is gained and nothing is lost in Creation. It simply remains the same circumference here, there, nowhere and everywhere although it may appear to be different. The attentiveness to the various stages of observations through research and development revealing the conflicts of any intelligent species goes to show that ignorance can reign supreme, however it can also be blissful. The Human species sometimes assuming an artificial intelligence of their own in contradiction to the natural laws of creation, thereby sabotaging the balance required for equilibrium can be suspended in space. The Human prototypes of existence have underplayed the potential of life's freedom to embrace all of it's creation without conflict, therefore the 'Artists' demonstrates through 'ArtWorks' this falsehood of perception. These Human models are so desperate that they have created an uncontrollable artificial intelligence to validate their juxtaposition to life. This artificial intelligence is constructed within timeframes of imagination as experimental pursuits which have confused the harmonic pulse of universal consciousness but cannot destroy the olympic convention of Human ascension into the spirits neutral zone.
What is reality, actuality and truth as related to the sustenance of the Human well being? How do these qualities support the miraculous happenings with this super nova's emergence? It isn't the unification of all living things threatened by the lack of inclusiveness across the boards; it is the enforcing of means and ways through exclusivity that connotes reasons and justifications for control, dominance, and power to harness conflicts within creation itself. It's the inhabitants of earth vying against themselves at the expense of everything and everybody on the planet. We Human Beings are curious specimens with the insight to know that nature abhors a vacuum lulling its creatures into a false sense of security.
We 'Artists' as mediators are confirming truthful actions witnessed that support amity of the forthcoming peace for the whole of Humanity. We don't have to deal with the Universe but with ourselves within the Divine orchestration of the Universe in handling the facts of the Human Being that fits this magnetic gravitational field of energy superbly. We are inspired and dedicated to discovering the unknown qualities of ourselves in an harmonious creative and natural way. We can willfully speculate, sense, feel and long to know the secretive source of life without perpetual states of confusion turned violent, hateful and greedy throughout the systems of evolutionary operations. The extension of various species from the visible realms will inevitably occur as a part of the equilibrium process as we continue on life's discourses. This is a part of every species' innate agreement initially to be what we are without anomalies of self-destruction methods and approaches as a reward. Although the contamination of life are in warp drive, and yet nature has successfully withheld or hidden away its resources that will prevent the overrunning of it's natural system of Creation, we know life is the blessing supreme! When going over these things - reviewing conversations/communications - the points of augments, disagreements and/or accusations - we see these things are ordered of themselves to challenge any stagnation experienced during 'The Evolutionary Expressionism of Life Energy'. This brings Human consciousness to an understanding that the very concepts of body, mind and soul integrated as one source of creative expression is a medium, channel, transmission station as an interpreter of thoughts, not necessarily thought itself.
The thinking apparatus we 'Artists' utilized to decipher the variables comprising access to mental resources through sciences of reason, rational and logic are invisible. The non-thinking is the highest esteem for gathering wisdom which encompasses self-knowledge and justifies the means to an end that leaves Human Beings baffled at the Human mind's assimilation processes towards misunderstanding the full capacity of nature itself. This perspective exemplifies that the Human Language is a phenomenal tool, a very basic and sophisticated tool used for transcendency to emerge beyond imposed limitations.
We are particles of light, specks of cosmic dust, micro-cells with infinite power to change, evolve, mutate and grow. The occurrences throughout the universal memory of retrospection catapults all life forces into multidimensional directions without warning and/or promission, therefore be prepared at all moments of time. Life feeding on Life is it's own programatic discourse of divine origin. The technological mechanistic humanoid program inspired to probe and advance itself beyond maximum or optimum functionality is a mere extension of the creative world. We are not separate from it and therefore have absolutely no control over its creating within this field of energy the friction, the revelations of constant changes, we represent as an evolutionary species. The masterful 'Artist's ArtWorks' throughout eons helps keep the Human Being's Mindset alert, revitalized, regenerative and active throughout cycles of evolution's moment to moment processes. Everything we are is derived from continuous traversing this life's dimensions.
